According to my opinion, one has to do 5 minutes of body weight exercise for warming up the body muscles. Just 5 minutes for warm up is enough rather than to spend much time on treadmill.
Strength training
Now talking about the strength training, one should do back to back exercises with minimum rest and should continue the same for 20 minutes. This will really help in shaping your muscles in short time. In Some cases, where one needs to work more for their muscles, I will suggest them to do more body weight exercises.
Interval training
At last, 18 minutes of Interval training is recommended. A short warm up followed by 6 short intervals with short periods of low intensity muscles recovery. And you can end up this with a cool down. Just resulting in 45 minutes workout with effective results.
